Clinic Info Assessment Clinic For Horse Owners/Trainers/Professionals
The information that will be shared with you in this clinic is based on and supported by facts, not opinion. Fact: Anatomical Function (every body part has a function) Fact: Balance (every object has a balance point) Fact: Gravity (is always pulling toward earth) When you learn to apply these concepts to 3 components of the horse, which include:
You will be instructed on how to assess TMJ function as well as use strengthening and stretching exercises for your horse. In this clinic I will teach you how to look at and see the imbalances in horses that you observe everyday. You will learn to assess the tempromandibular joint for balance and function. Also on the agenda is looking at the feet (hooves) and understanding why they have the growth patterns that they do. There will be an assessment on how to read a horse's physical abilities and how muscular imbalance can affect those abilities. In short, I will teach you to view a horse's body as you never observed it before. I have instructed many people and every one of them said the same thing in the end: "I will never look at a horse the same way again." Clinic will include an Octassager Massage tool and instructions.
I offer clinics at my facility for horse owners and trainers where you would be instructed on assessing the balance of your horse. I will demonstrate simple to apply stretch and strengthen exercises to help restore balance to your horse. Each participant may bring one horse, but will learn much more because you observe others in the clinic assessing and balancing their horse, and you may have one at home that may look just like another participant's. In this clinic I will personally assess your horse and explain what I see and why. Then I will share information with you and instruct you as to the specific needs of that particular horse. You will learn to use reflex points to stimulate muscles creating strength and learn proper stretching techniques using proper body mechanics, body position and hand placement. This clinic will improve the posture and performance of your horse as well as creating an amazing bonding experience. Auditors are welcome and may ask questions at end of participants' instruction (no hands on training). This is NOT a bodywork clinic. It IS designed to help you understand your horse and how to improve it's posture and well being. At My Facility (Leisure Hour Ranch) A maximum of three horses and participants will be scheduled at a time (offering a morning and/or afternoon clinic). Clinic will be conducted under a covered stall with a misting system (when it's hot) and the horses that are waiting can graze in separated side by side 12 x 24 pastures. Participants are welcome to attend both morning and afternoon sessions (horses only one session). At Your Facility You may host a clinic at your facility (inquire about host benefit). Same rules apply as to participants. If out of town travel is required, then a full six participants must be scheduled.
